We live in awesome times where sharing online is so easy now including the three biggest social networking sites Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus at your disposal. Social sharing is now the norm unlike in years past when sharing online was frowned upon by many. Most people did not know what to share and; for those bold enough, did not know where to share and who would listen.
Thanks to rapidly advancing technology, we are now able to easily share with friends and family no matter where we may be. Whether it be a status update, video, a photo, a news story, inspirational quote or just a thought; sharing online is so easy now via the web as well as on mobile phones. Since we are both super active online, we discover so many awesome online tools and would like to share three that we find useful and fun to use.
1. - partnered with Facebook and now Facebook users can connect their profile on the Yahoo News homepage and have the option to share what they have read with their Facebook friends. This can also be seen on your Facebook news feed and people can easily see what one has read in real time. People can also interact with the news by liking, commenting and sharing. Thank you Yahoo News for picking Misty as a for a week and for featuring our article The Power of Retweeting: The 7 Reasons to RT on the Yahoo News Homepage. We encourage you to try it out.
2. Path – A smart, mobile based journal that allows one to share their life events with friends and love ones. This app allows you to share daily activities as moments. Photo, video, thoughts, music and places are among the types of posts you can share. Respond to moments with any one of five core emotions: smile, frown, gasp, laugh, and love. You can also engage with others by commenting on individual posts. The beauty of this app is that you can only add a limited number of friends which keeps Path a rather intimate experience. This is a mobile app available on the iPhone and Android phones. No desktop web interface is available. Give it a try. It’s fun and very addicting.
3. - Pinterest is a virtual pinboard and allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people and discover new things and get inspired from people who share your interests. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes. We are still exploring this app and we are enjoying it a lot. We are gaining so much inspiration just by viewing the pins and pin boards created by our friends.
Do you know of other tools for online sharing? Please share it here via commenting so we can try it out too.
