A few weeks ago, we were invited by Sony’s professional group to check out a brand new all-in-one video production switcher, the Anycast Touch. This was not your usual boring product demo but a real world experience.
Our day started at the Sony offices in Park Ridge, New Jersey for a brief product overview and hands on training session with the new Anycast Touch. We were able to get some time with the product and check out the innovative and intuitive dual touch screen displays used to control all the functions of the unit.
Next, we were driven to Provident Bank ball park, home of the Rockland Boulders minor league baseball team. Sony had set-up the Anycast in a real world scenario for us to put it through its paces at a live baseball game. Along with the existing stadium video feed, Sony installed two BRC-H900 robotic video cameras to serve as video inputs to the Anycast Touch for us to experience live switching the game.
